Color and weathering

Light brown to yellow-brown with different shades. The color differences between the individual pieces of floorboards are natural and usual. The wood darkens in the air and changes color to gray-silver over time. The time of graying depends on the method of treatment, the location of the climate, the exposure of individual pieces to rain and other weather conditions.

Natural oil content

Bangkirai wood contains a natural dye that can leach out of the wood for some time, for example due to rain, in the form of a brown liquid. Therefore, avoid contact with plasters, bricks and other coverings or floors that could be colored. Drain rainwater through a pipe system or sewer, if the installation is carried out on floors or balconies. Use only special high-strength stainless steel screws for mounting. Avoid contact of wood with iron objects that create blue-black stains, as well as substances and objects that cause corrosion. Over time, this tree will show a change in the color of the gray shade due to UV sunlight. This phenomenon manifests itself equally in all tree species. Properties

Storage

At the same time, sufficient interleaving of the wood with spacers was ensured, enabling air ventilation and prevention of the formation of mold. Care

Regularly clean the terrace from dirt, soil, sediment and pollen. This prevents macropore impurities from penetrating the wood. Under objects such as parasol stands, flower pots, bowls, mats, under which water and moisture settle, there is no possibility of fast and natural drying of the wood. Long-term moisture and dirt stains can form under these objects. Therefore, carry these objects standing on the terrace from time to time or ensure that there is natural drying and ventilation of the air under them. This will prevent the formation of dark spots on the wood.
