We love wood, and working with this unique material has been our passion for four generations. Wood has been used in construction for millennia for its beauty and its unique, irreplaceable qualities. Our present day expertise is built on the traditional values of parquet craftsmanship and masterful skill. Mr. Jiří Pechar began working with wood and wooden floors — their production, renovation, and restoration, including solid floors, parquet, and castle inlays in 1946. Since then, the family’s traditions and experience in the art of parquetry have been passed down from generation to generation, even through the years of the former regime, to his two sons, Jiří and Miloš. Shortly after the Velvet Revolution in 1990, Mr. Jiří Pechar continued the family tradition by founding a private company, which has since evolved and grown into the modern family business it is today.

At present, company Pechar s.r.o. ranks in Czech Republic among the leading importers of wood products with a long-standing reputation as a reliable wholesale supplier of quality wood products. We are a regular supplier for hundreds of wholesale customers in the construction and wood sector from both the Czech Republic and abroad. Our specialization is the direct import of wood from production plants from all over the world and its subsequent wholesale distribution.

Thanks to direct and long-term cooperation with directly with selected production plants in Canada, the USA, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Indonesia and many other countries, we are able to offer some of the best prices on the market and at the same time oversee compliance with high quality standards. For all imported products, we pay attention to the legal origin of wood throughout the supply chain and all products meet European requirements for the legal origin of wood. Our product range is divided into five main categories. Wooden and composite decking, wooden facade cladding, interior flooring, sauna materials, and wood coatings. We market our wooden decking under the Masterdeck brand. In the composite decking segment, we are the exclusive distributor of the American manufacturer Fiberon. In the field of wooden facade cladding, we specialize in Western Red Cedar, thermally modified Thermowood, Douglas Fir, and Canadian Western Larch. Another key category is our wide range of wooden flooring, available in both solid and engineered three-layer designs. In the engineered flooring segment, we are one of the largest Czech distributors of Barlinek, one of the world’s leading manufacturers. We also represent the German company Saicos on the Czech market a producer of high-quality wood coatings for both interior and exterior applications.

We have been the only company in the Czech Republic since 2008 to be a member of the Canadian Red Cedar Lumber Association based in Vancouver and we are the official importer of Western Red Cedar to the Czech Republic. More information about WRCLA you can find here.

In addition to business activities, we provide custom industrial production of facade profiles from western red cedar, Thermowood, canadian douglas fir and western larch. For these purposes, we import quality certified timber from British Columbia and original thermally modified Thermowood wood from Finland. Industrial production is carried out on state-of-the-art Weinig high-capacity planing machines that meet high quality criteria. We use production both for our standard stock range and for custom production.
