Description

Stainless steel screws of class A2 (AISI 304) feature higher mechanical strength compared to stainless steel of class A4. A2 stainless decking screws are an ideal solution for most tropical and traditional timber species where high strength, reliable installation, and resistance to tannins are required. The screw body is designed with a double thread, and the head is fitted with a Torx 25 drive, ensuring a very firm and stable bit engagement.

In environments exposed to extremely corrosive conditions, such as coastal areas or locations with high levels of salts or chlorides, it is more appropriate to use fasteners made from A4 stainless steel. Although A4 offers superior corrosion resistance, it provides lower mechanical strength compared to A2.

Especially suitable for fastening into hardwood.

Installation information

Screws with a drill point are not intended for use with wall plugs (anchors)
Pre-drilling of holes, including countersinking for the screw heads, is recommended
For contact with acids, chlorides, or saline environments, such as coastal areas, the use of stainless steel screws class A4 – AISI 316 is more suitable
