About merbau wood
Merbau is durable hardwood with exelent physical-mechanical properties which ranks this specie among the best wood in the world. Merbau is very stable wood with low degree of shrinkage and low dimensional changes. Merbau solid flooring can be install on systems of water underfloor heating, where provides very good stability, low thermal resistance and excellent heat transfer. Merbau is a decorative wood with many color tones with mainly radial fiber structure. It is durable even in soil and resistant to fungi, insects and weather. The color of Merbau wood varied from light red to dark brown, brown-reddish with different shades, sometimes lightly striped due to filament spinning, very decorative wood, slightly shiny. The yellow, golden veins - with oil resin contend is main distinctive sign of Merbau wood.
